This week you are getting three looks for the price of one! I’ve teamed up with a couple of other Aussie bloggers to each style a fabulous fringed bag. Inspired by the movie The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, I thought it would be fun to send an item on a road trip across Australia and collaborate with my fellow bloggers. The India cross body bag from Sash & Belle is perfect as it is versatile enough for each of us to style in our own unique way. Between the three of us we have the three eastern Australian states of NSW, Victoria and Queensland covered. If you were to drive between our homes you would cover nearly 2000klm’s and it would take almost 20 hours but our traveling bag did it a little easier with the assistance of Australia Post. White Strapless Top: Fresh Fashion LinkUp 21
I’m back home in Sydney but I’m bringing you one last outfit post from Bali. The day I took these photos was blisteringly hot. I’m talking eye ball melting, about to spontaneously combust hot. Don’t get me wrong, I’m used to the heat in Sydney, in fact today was 39c but for some reason this day just sapped the life out of me. I had no inclination to drag myself out of the pool (see pic below) and even less inclination to put on clothes, so when it came time to head to lunch this white strapless top paired with short shorts was probably the least amount of clothing I could get away with wearing and still remain fit to be seen in public. As an added bonus, the loose silhouette is great at hiding the bulging belly I’ve developed after remorselessly eating my way through all these fabulous restaurants while I have been in Bali. I slid on a blingly pair of shoes and some colourful jewellery to make it look like I made some sort of effort, but I don’t think I was fooling anyone. Sometimes style just has to be sacrificed for comfort and I’m all about keeping it real on the blog. Read on for all the details …
Blue Sundress In Bali: Fresh Fashion LinkUp 20
Hello from Bali! If you’ve been a reader for a while, you will know that this is not my first rodeo. In fact, this is my fourth visit to Bali, three of which have been in the last three years. We obviously love it here and there is plenty to keep the punters coming back year after year, not least of which is the spectacular weather. This is a flying visit and we only have six days on the ground. When I was here last time I wrote about my experiences shopping in Bali and a sundress that I spotted in the window of a store that always seemed to be closed when I walked past. As luck would have it, when I wandered past on Monday the store was open and not only did I manage to bag this delightful blue sundress for a mere $18 but I also added a white flowing top to my cart. Summer Maxi Skirt: Fresh Fashion LinkUp 19
Beach chic is one of my favourite looks and I love spending time by the ocean. February is officially the last month of summer and I’m already dreading the mercury dropping. Summer in Sydney (and many parts of Australia) generally means soaring temperatures, high humidity and violent thunderstorms, sometimes all in the same day! I was recently chatting (well emailing, but you know what I mean!) with my blogging buddy Adriele from Style Assisted and we got to talking about how different our weather is at this time of year. Adriele lives in Kansas, where temps often dip below freezing in February and the extreme differences in our climates seemed like the perfect opportunity to showcase both winter and summer styling all in one post.
