The fabulous beaches in Boracay draw visitors in droves. White Beach in Boracay is arguable the most famous and where everyone wants to stay. There are a plethora of beachfront hotels in Boracay Station 2 but Coast Boracay stands out from the crowd in more ways than one. While Boracay is famed for sunny days and balmy nights, we felt the effects of a nearby typhoon during our stay. The violent storms hampered our ability to explore and we spent more time than usual at our resort. I have never been more grateful that we chose our accommodation well! Every single element of our 3 day stay at Coast Boracay was flawless. Well except the weather, but you can’t do much about that! Read on for all the details …

Mix Restaurant Hoi An: Authentic Greek In Vietnam
*** Updated December 2019 ***
If you have visited my blog before you will know how much I love Greek food. When The Hubs discovered Mix Restaurant Hoi An it was almost a forgone conclusion that we would visit. During our whirlwind Vietnam trip, we purposefully ate local fare for every meal, but when he told me about this outstanding Greek Restaurant in Hoi An it was time for a change. Greeks really have found their way to every corner of the globe and I for one and thrilled! Mix Greek Restaurant commands a perfect location in Hoi An’s Ancient Town and offers an innovative menu that is sure to delight even the fussiest of pallets. I liked Mix Greek Restaurant Hoi An so much that when I returned to Hoi An in October 2019 with a group of ten other ladies, I was sure to make a return visit. Read on for all the details …
Hoi An Sincerity Hotel: Bargain Vietnamese Luxury
Vietnam is known for exceptional value so when I started searching for a Hoi An hotel the variance in prices surprised me. I found rooms ranging anywhere between AUD$12 – AUD$846 per night with most luxury accommodation in Hoi An clustered by the beach. I wasn’t about to blow nearly a grand on a bed for the night so I focused on Hoi An Ancient Town, but there are precious few accommodation options within the walls and none satisfied all my requirements. After hours of deliberation, we finally decided on Anantara Hoi An Resort at a rate of AUD$320(ish) a night. It was more than I wanted to spend, but it looked so fabulous I couldn’t resist. Two weeks before our stay they emailed to advise the pool would be out of action for our entire stay. Given that was once of the main draws, we chose to cancel and start again. This time I concentrated my search in the area north of Ancient Town where the prices were much more reasonable and I was delighted to discover Hoi An Sincerity Hotel & Spa. This stunning 4 star hotel offered unbelievable value that I just couldn’t go past. Read on for all the details …

We considered multiple budget Vietnam airlines and chose Vietjet Air every time. Our Vietjet domestic flights were mostly trouble free and you won’t believe how cheap they were! Q: Where to Eat In Hanoi? A: Red Bean Restaurant Hanoi!
*** Updated December 2019 ***
When you think of eating in Vietnam you almost certainly think of street food. The vibrant street food scene dominates the city and while we loved our beef salad at Bun Bo Nam Bo we wanted something just a little bit fancier. After doing extensive research (i.e. googling ‘where to eat in Hanoi’) we stumbled on Red Bean Restaurant Hanoi. I was initially drawn to the authentic local cuisine at Red Bean Hanoi and I loved the relaxed atmosphere. While I wanted to step up my game from the street, I didn’t want to have to don my ball gown to do it. Who am I kidding? I don’t even own a ball gown let alone have one tucked away in my luggage. How To Get Cut Price Airline Perks With Optiontown
As I am typing this I am sitting at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat airport onboard Vietnam Airlines flight VN773 bound for Sydney. I don’t often write my posts on the go, but I really wanted to capture how I felt ‘in the moment’ before my memory became jaded. Why? Because I’m more that just a little bit pleased with myself that I took a chance and registered for an Optiontown empty seat option all those months ago. I have to admit I was skeptical that it would actually come off, but here I am stretched out across 3 seats in my ‘economy class flat bed’ with a grin a mile wide on my face. The Hubs is doing the same in the row in front and we can hardly believe that we have six seats all to ourselves! If you want to enjoy your next flight with a little more room for a fraction of the cost, read on for all the details …
Is Bun Bo Nam Bo Hanoi The Best Street Food In Hanoi?
Before my first trip to Vietnam everyone told me that I had to eat street food in Hanoi. Once I starting reading menus I realised that there are heaps of Vietnamese staples that I can’t (or won’t) eat. I don’t eat pork. I don’t eat fish. I don’t eat innards. I don’t eat mushrooms. I don’t like soup. And I can’t eat eggs. So while I really wanted to try the best street food in Hanoi I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t find anything to appeal. Then I found Bun Bo Nam Bo Hanoi. Want to know how I fared? Read on for all the details …
