A friend and I were given a leave pass as our hubby’s valiantly agreed to look after her kids back in Phuket while we had a girls day out. Eating is one of life’s great pleasures and one of the things I really look forward to while on holiday, so I take choosing each meal very seriously. There is nothing worse than being disappointed with a bad meal as you only have a finite number of meals while on the ground. South East Asia is an assault on your senses. The sights, the smells and of course the tastes, so indulging a little while we are here was always going to be on the cards. Dining in Phuket can mean anything from street carts to five star dining and everything in between. Koh Phi Phi is a tiny speck of an island in the middle of the Andaman Sea so don’t expect to be spoiled for choice here. The island is divided by a fairly steep hill so once people have chosen which side to stay on they generally stick to that area. We are staying at the Cabana Phi Phi Hotel so we have been dining in the Tonsai area during our two days here.
