We were wandering back to our hotel after dinner one evening and had a hankering for something sweet. We had dined at the Hitana Legian on our last visit and knew that their dessert menu would satisfy our cravings. It was almost empty later in the evening with only a few guests lingering over their last drinks but unperturbed in our quest we chose a beach side table and reacquainted ourselves with the menu. Why Holy Guacamole Bali Should Be Your No 1 Pick Of Restaurants In Legian
*** UPDATED JANUARY 2023 ***
I’ve dined at Holy Guacamole Bali in Legian more times than I can count. In fact, it is one of my favourite restaurants in Legian. On previous visits I’ve even roped in some friends who were all as equally impressed with this kitsch little Mexican restaurant in Bali. I first stumbled on Holy Guacamole in 2016 the day before Nyepi when nothing else was open. Our ‘go to’ Legian Restaurants were closed and we were wandering the streets aimlessly looking for sustenance. We were hot, sweaty and hungry when we found Holy Guacamole Legian. And we were so glad we did. I visited last in December 2022 and Holy Guacamole Bali is still going strong. If you are looking for a Legian restaurant that ticks all the boxes for a casual meal read on for all the details …
Fabulous Cheap Eats On The Sunshine Coast
Eating out three times a day when you are away from home can really eat into your travel budget. Dining in the Sunshine Coast is a delight but it can be expensive. I’m not the type to drop $360 on a steak but I don’t want to eat off the value menu at Macca’s every day either. Before I headed north recently for my girly weekend, I did my research and found lots of fabulous cheap eats on the sunshine coast that will fill your tummy without breaking the bank. Review: Romeos Bar & Grillery Legian Bali
We have visited Romeos Bar & Grillery in Legian Bali twice in recent times. One was forced on us due to Nyepi and the other was by choice. Our experience was a bit hit and miss but I’m sharing the good and the bad so you can make an informed choice. Read on for all the details …
Restaurant Review: Black House Burgers Kuta Bali
Who doesn’t love a burger? These simple sandwiches can be absolutely divine if done right. I like my burgers home made and a world away from fast food. We were intrigued by the signature charcoal buns and we had extremely high expectations of Black House Burgers Kuta after they were rated the number 1 of 717 restaurants in Kuta Bali on Trip Advisor after 688 reviews. Did they stack up? Read on for all the details …
Restaurant Review: Bella Vista Cafe Legian Bali
We chose Bella Vista Cafe Legian for a simple meal due to the proximity to our hotel and the excellent Trip Advisor ratings. It is #2 in Legian after all! The coffee scene is big even in Bali and Bella Vista pitches to this market but also serves up more substantial plates for lunch and dinner. With a diverse menu there is something to appeal to most. Restaurant Review: Un’s Kuta – A Bali Favourite
Un’s Kuta is one of our favorite restaurants in Bali. We discovered it a few years ago and loved that we had stumbled on a hidden gem where we had the dining room almost all to ourselves. Last visit was a lot different. It seems like the masses have cottoned on to our secret place and we had to wait for a table. Despite it’s new found popularity Un’s Kuta hasn’t lost any of it’s charm and the food is as amazing as ever. Read on for all the details …
Restaurant Review: Benno’s Sanur Bali
We had heard good things about Sanur Bali from friends at home so we thought we would pop over for a few hours and check it out before we committed to staying there. Sanur is just a quick cab ride away from Legian and many of the water sports in my epic list of +110 things to do in Bali are in this area. Benno’s Sanur was an off the cuff lunch choice when wandering along the beach path. There are no shortage of restaurants here but most seem to offer the same type of fare. We were hungry, hot and tired and didn’t have the inclination to put much thought into it. Benno’s Sanur Bali seemed like a safe bet given there were already a few diners settled it. I hate walking into an empty restaurant don’t you? Read on for all the details …
