I’m in Melbourne for work today and it’s freezing but my photos were taken on the weekend when I was in the sunny Whitsundays. The Hamilton Island yacht club is a special place to watch a magical sunset with a wine glass in hand and we spent a few evenings at the Bommie Bar doing just that. The deck provides a perfect spot to curl up in a comfy chair and watch the boats passing through the marina. Relaxing in the late afternoon sun calls for something super comfy and this casual jumpsuit fits the bill perfectly. I snapped it up a few weeks ago at the Eumundi markets (more about that here) but have not had an opportunity to wear it until now. Read on for all the details …




 

Casual Jumpsuit

Confession time; I have never owned or worn a jumpsuit before. I needed a little convincing from The Co-Conspirator to buy this when we spent a long weekend on the Sunshine Coast recently. After wearing it for the very first time, I have to admit I am not entirely convinced. For some unknown reason it never occurred to me that going to the bathroom would be such an ordeal. The jumpsuit has a tie neck that I cannot tie myself. While this might not be an issue in the comfort of your own home, it’s an entirely different kettle of fish when you are out and about with someone who cannot accompany you to the ladies. Let’s such say I drank far less wine at the bar than I would have liked. Given I’m on a tropical island I kept the rest of the outfit simple with a few black accessories and a fun bag and shoes.

  4. I haven’t tried jumpsuits or rompers myself, yet. I love the style of this one: I think the style of the waist is very flattering…not that you need to worry about that as you have a lovely figure! I think this looks great out you, love your bag too!

  19. Like you, I don’t own a jumpsuit. I think they look great and I love the one you’re wearing. I probably will never own one because although a jumpsuit makes it super easy to get dressed, it’s simply too much work to go to the bathroom…lol! You do look fabulous though!

  20. I love this jumpsuit on you! Although jumpsuits are great for the summer, they aren’t ideal for the bathroom! I usually try to find ones that are easy to pull down.

  21. I broke down and bought one romper last year. I think I wore it once. Although it wasn’t that difficult to undo it for the restroom, it was still a pain. Never again!

  22. A dark neutral-colored jumpsuit is always classic and versatile. Love yours with the high neckline. But I have to agree about going to the bathroom being a hassle. I love jumpsuits and rompers though. Hope you had a great time on your date. Love the photos by the water.

    I can see that going to the bathroom would be a pain… I used to own a jumpsuit about 20 years ago that I loved. But I found it a bit difficult to get on and off and that’s why I haven’t gotten one yet this year…
