Every now and then a girl has to treat herself with something a little bit special. That might mean a forbidden morsel of deliciousness, a few hours of me time in a candlelit bath with a do not disturb sign firmly pasted to the door or a luxury splurge. For me it is usually a special pair of shoes and it doesn’t get much more special than my custom made Prada pumps. I loving designed my perfect shoe and Prada’s expert craftsmen brought them to life to my exacting specifications nine weeks later. These babies are worth every single cent I spent on them and more. Custom Made Prada Pumps
Occasionally (usually once a year) Prada runs a Made To Order (MTO) event where you can design your very own pair of custom made Prada pumps. Imagine how tough it was picking from eight heel heights, 2 toe shapes, 3 sole leathers and almost 60 upper fabrics and leathers. It was torture. It fact it was so hard to narrow down my choices I got two! The finishing touch is having your initials embossed in gold in the instep (see inset in photo below). My custom made Prada pumps were not as exy as you might think at only about $100 more than an off the shelf pair. Every time I slip these on I feel just a little bit special and that my friend makes the cost worthwhile. One of my favourite things to do fashion wise is to pair high end with high street and my $12 SES cardigan is almost a perfect colour match. In fact the entire outfit wouldn’t even equal a third of what I spent on the shoes!
