Another day in the North Sydney Office today with a quick trip across the bridge for lunch with The Enabler. Once a month we are “ladies who lunch”. Such a special dining companion warrants a very special pair of shoes so I’m pulling out the big guns today. I wouldn’t normally wear these to work but it’s clear the Prada’s are the stars of the show today as I mix high end and high street. Read on for all the details …
This week I wore …
- Cream Woolen Coat – From a million years ago. I can’t even remember where this was from … possibly Sheike???
- Witchery White Layered Top – First time wearing this one. Very sheer so I have a nude top underneath.
- SES Fashions Teal Cardigan – I know again right! I really really was going to wear something different I promise but I just love this colour and it goes so well with the Prada’s! Can’t decide is I like better buttoned or open. What’s your view?
- White Leather Belt – Cheap, cheerful and does the job!
- Prada MTO Teal Satin Pumps – Shoes make me deliriously happy and these are very special (Lot’s of photo love below lol). Some would say maybe just a little bit too fancy for work but I’m doing it anyway! Sue me! Made To Order (MTO) is my new favourite thing. I just wish Prada did this year round instead of just as a one off event. I can’t say enough about these shoes … they are perfect! Heel height is 8.5cm so you can wear them all day without the balls of your feet feeling like they are on fire and while they are pointy the toe box is surprisingly roomy so that amputating a toe (or two!) is not required, which always a good thing! And have you noticed the beautiful baby blue soles monogrammed with my initials?
- Colette Katia Diagonal Clutch – OK let me start my saying that I don’t normally do cheap bags. Statement bags (and shoes!) are my thing so this would never normally have found it’s way into my wardrobe. So let me explain how it ended up in my possession. I needed a white bag to make this outfit work and I didn’t own one until yesterday. Why? Because I haven’t done white bags or shoes since the late 80’s and early 90’s as a teenager with no money who somehow managed to convince myself that white shoes were so versatile that they worked with EVERYTHING!!! Ugh Overload. I still shudder at the memories. So bottom line is I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a quality bag that will quite possibly only make one appearance. I paid $20 for this one so I’m not going to be devastated to see it languishing on the shelf if that is what happens.
- Guess Watch – Purchased in Las Vegas about 4 years ago
- Colette Necklace – I needed something to break up all the white.
- Lovisa Kids Bangles – A cute pop of colour with sparkle. The mini enablers would surely approve 🙂 I just love hot pink with teal. Agree?
- Diva Ring – Old. Just for the colour match.
- My Everyday Diamond Earring – Custom Made National House Jeweller Bondi Junction
- Scent of the Day – Prada Candy L’Eau.
Until Next Time …
Happy Hunting
