Restaurant Review: Hitana Legian Bali

June 3, 2016

Bali Restaurants Hitana Fruit Crepes

We were wandering back to our hotel after dinner one evening and had a hankering for something sweet. We had dined at the Hitana Legian on our last visit and knew that their dessert menu would satisfy our cravings. It was almost empty later in the evening with only a few guests lingering over their last drinks but unperturbed in our quest we chose a beach side table and reacquainted ourselves with the menu. Read on for all the details …

Hitana Legian Overview

In the Bali Niksoma hotel right on Legian beach, the Hitana Legian is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner to cater to guests not looking to stray too far. The open air main dining room has been designed to take advantage of the views and gentle ocean breezes making it perfect for watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand. The menu is not extensive but does offer choices from both Western and Indonesian cuisine. While the address is on Jl Padma Utara the restaurant is at the rear of the hotel and best accessed from the beach.

The Sweet Stuff

I love a roaming menu where you visit different restaurants for different courses and the staff at  Hitana Legian had no qualms about allowing us to eat dessert only. I find it hard to go past a chocolate lava cake but when The Hubs selected it I knew I could steal a few bites anyway so I chose the fruit crepes. You might be surprised to find eating crepes is on my list of 110+ amazing things to do in Bali. Yep, they are that good! Light as air, filled with tropical fruit and drenched in ice cream, these crepes make the perfect treat on a hot summer night. The lava cake was lovely and gooey inside exactly the way it should be but had more of a chocolate pudding flavour. For once I didn’t have food envy! Read more reviews on TripAdvisor.
