The fabulous beaches in Boracay draw visitors in droves. White Beach in Boracay is arguable the most famous and where everyone wants to stay. There are a plethora of beachfront hotels in Boracay Station 2 but Coast Boracay stands out from the crowd in more ways than one. While Boracay is famed for sunny days and balmy nights, we felt the effects of a nearby typhoon during our stay. The violent storms hampered our ability to explore and we spent more time than usual at our resort. I have never been more grateful that we chose our accommodation well!Β Every single element of our 3 day stay at Coast Boracay was flawless. Well except the weather, but you can’t do much about that! Read on for all the details …
Getting To The Beachfront Hotels in Boracay Station 2
Where is Boracay you ask? Boracay, pronounced Burr-ROCK-eye, is a small island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. There is no airport on Boracay and most visitors land in Caticlan or Kalibo. We flew into Caticlan from Manila on Skyjet Airlines Philippines and getting to the beachfront hotels in Boracay Station 2 is surprisingly easy when you choose to stay at Coast Boracay. They have you covered from the moment you touch down. A representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to Coast’s welcome centre where your launch awaits. On the quick boat ride refresher towels and icy cold water are provided to beat the heat before you transfer to a mini van for the last leg of your journey. It may sound like a complicated procedure, but in reality it is seamless. The ever smiling Coast staff keep in touch by walkie-talkies and each transition is perfectly timed with military precision. Coast enjoys an absolute beachfront location on White Beach in Boracay Station 2, which is largely regarded as THE best place to stay in Boracay. When you step into the stunning reception for the first time you just know your stay is going to be special.

Coast Boracay Rooms
Coast’s modern rooms are a breath of fresh air among the many Beachfront hotels in Boracay Station 2. At just over a year old, everything is still fresh and shiny and new. The overwhelming feel is of a luxury coastal retreat and the styling is impeccable. Our premiere room had everything we could hope for and more. The king sized Sealy delivered a restful sleep and was perfectly placed to watch TV in bed, which we did a lot of when the weather got gnarly outside. Did I mention Coast Boracay has Netflix? #winning! When you can’t face dragging yourself out of bed, the bedside tables, power points and master switches keep everything in reach. A compact closet is available, but as I never unpack the luggage rack was appreciated. The upside of hunkering down against the weather was that I got quite a lot of writing done at the functional desk using the complimentary WiFi. The air conditioner in our room was brilliant at banishing the insane humidity and keeping us comfortable. I was initially apprehensive about privacy given our room (101) was located pool side and had floor to ceiling widows. I needn’t have worried. Coast Boracay’s dual blind system covered all bases. The inner blind affords maximum privacy while still allowing natural light to stream in and when it’s time to go to bed the blockout blinds keep early morning rays at bay.
The bathrooms at Coast Boracay are ultra modern and well thought out. The vanity had oodles of room to spread out my stuff and Coast provided a great variety of toiletries. I prefer a hand held shower wand but I know many would disagree and love the waterfall spout. The wooden seat makes shaving your legs a breeze and having the towels stored in the cubicle meant no soaking bathroom floors. The recessed toiletries shelf is something I really wished I had done at home when we built our house. I hate the nasty add on shelf we have ended up with. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. The door key at Coast powers the whole room when firmly in place. Even the hot water. The Hubs found this out the hard way when I stepped out with the key while he was in the shower. He was less than amused and I feared payback but he resisted the urge for retribution.
World Class Service At Coast Boracay
Not all beachfront hotels in Boracay Station 2 are created equal. The greatest asset of any company is it’s staff and Coast have found the very best. Service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive and a warm smile is delivered every time you cross paths. All the staff were exceptional. From the pool attendant that offered to take photos for us, to the man in white who moved some wet floor signage so I could get the perfect photo, nothing was too much trouble. Our housekeepers were so good at their jobs that we never actually saw them. They knew the perfect time to pop in and do their thing without ever disturbing us. On our first night a fellow guest had obviously had a big night and didn’t quite make it back to his room. When I woke at 6.30am he was in the fetal position on one of the pool lounges. I witnessed one particularly caring staff member cover him with towels. His wife found him at about 10.30am and even though I don’t speak Korean, I could tell she wasn’t happy. Thank you in particular to Beth who welcomed us in style, Sharmen who managed to secure our helmet diving booking at late notice and Sarah who looked after our every need. You guys rock!
Coast Boracay Facilities
Not many beachfront hotels in Boracay station 2 come with two pools but Coast does! Even in a typhoon Boracay is warm and the two pools are the place to be. I’ve always loved swimming in the rain. It’s not like your going to get any wetter now is it? The main pool comes with a shallow area for the kiddies to play and a stacked stone waterfall for aesthetic appeal. The floaties are always on standby and well used by guests both young and old. At Coast Boracay even the towels are fun and come in a rainbow of colours. Pool staff including a lifeguard are always on hand and used towels are magically refreshed as soon as you leave them unattended.
Enjoy The Beaches In Boracay
The beaches in Boracay are stunning. Most things to do in Boracay involve the water and the front desk can book virtually anything your heart desires. Think sailing, cliff diving, zip lining and helmet diving to name a few. I’ve wanted to do helmet diving forever but have balked at the cost so I was thrilled when our afternoon helmet diving in Boracay was very affordable. You would be mad not to spend some time frolicking in the pristine waters of White Beach in Boracay during your stay and Coast Boracay’s private section means you never have to fight the masses for a lounge. Head back in the evening at sunset for happy hour drinks. Despite the ominous cloud cover we enjoyed one spectacular sunset for which we were truly grateful.
Dining On White Beach in Boracay @ Cha Cha’s
Regardless which of the beachfront hotels in Boracay station 2 you choose, you have to eat! You don’t have to go far at Coast Boracay to satisfy grumbling tummies. Cha Cha’s Boracay is located in Coast’s lobby and does a roaring trade with guests and visitors alike. The menu has all your favourites as well as a good selection of Filippino dishes. We dined at Cha Cha’s multiple times and I will be writing a separate post shortly so look out for that one! Trust me when I say that they grill a mighty fine cheeseburger.
The Little Things Mean So Much At Coast Boracay
As a frequent traveller in a world filled with cookie cutter hotels its refreshing to find a place that thinks of all the details. And I mean ALL the details. On arrival in White Beach in Boracay I received a red rose and a welcome drink in reception. If that’s not enough, we entered our room to find a fabulous welcome message on the TV screen. They even used my logo! We then found a not-so-typical welcome basket. I’m used to the standard fruit platter but this one included a bottle of local rum and a couple of cokes to boot! The gifts don’t stop there as every evening sweet treats are delivered before bed. The Oreo truffles were my favourite. Boracayβs weather is temperamental for four months of the year even without a typhoon so each room comes equipped with an umbrella and stand. The mini bar is reasonably priced and well stocked, but not so full so that you canβt add your own items. Complimentary pop corn is provided daily by the pool and a guide is provided for the not-so-tech-savvy (i.e. me!) to work the smart TV which comes equipped with Netflix. Thongs (or slippers as they call them) are provided for each guest which are yours to keep. No self respecting Aussie would ever leave home without their thongs but for those less prepared this is a godsend. The WiFi is free and fast and doesnβt involve entering a code reminiscent of a nuclear launch each time you want to update Facebook. Itβs done once and you’re set for your entire stay. Even the toiletries are above and beyond at Caost Boracay. I have never been provided with cologne and hand sanitizer before. All the power points accept multiple plugs so there is a good chance you won’t need an adapter. Both our phones (iPhone and Samsung) plugged straight in but the three pronged Aussie plug on my laptop didn’t and needed an adapter. Sling the thoughtfully provided canvas bag over your shoulder and spend an afternoon filing it with knick knacks from the local vendors or simply use it to store your dirty washing. If you have read any of my previous hotel reviews you will know that a lack of lighting is one of my pet peeves. I am constantly amazed (and dissapointed!) that so many get it wrong. Coast Boracay got it right and our room was lit up like the Las Vegas strip when all the lights were on. Dimmer switches allow you to soften the effect and the greenie in me loved that all the bulbs were energy saving LED. Rooms are refreshed multiple times daily and each afternoon floor mats are placed on each side of the bed so sandy feet don’t spoil the pristine sheets. The exceptional attention to detail at Coast Boracay elevated our stay to a whole new realm.
Nearby In Boracay Station 2
There are no shortage of beachfront hotels in Boracay Station 2 but Coast has the edge with a prime position smack bang in the middle making it easy to access everything. Keen walkers can take a stroll the whole length of White Beach in Boracay through all three stations. The 4klm stretch has the cleanest water and most pristine white sand you are ever likely to see. Sandcastles are a thing on the beaches in Boracay. They are everywhere and the skilled artists ask for a small fee for photos. Don’t stiff them on this like I saw some doing. They send hours sculpting these masterpieces and robbing them of their livelihood is so not cool. For just a few pesos more you can have one customised. How cool is that???? Beachfront massages are easy to come by but if you prefer to get rubbed down more privately try the Green Monkey Spa right next door for one of the strongest massages I have ever had. The nearby mini mart stocks most necessities but if you can’t find what you need d’Mall is only a 10 minute stroll away. White Beach is famed for bars and clubs and you can take your pick from more than a dozen in stumbling distance as my Korean mate can obviously attest to. Restaurants adorn the sands and there is even a Starbucks (with armed guards!) for those who need a coffee fix.
The Final Word On Coast Boracay
Our stay at Coast Boracay was faultless. The location on one of the best beaches in Boracay was exceptional and they provided unexpected delights at every turn. Their attention to detail certainly makes them stand out. Everything they did, they did exceptionally well and that is a rare thing these days. I always strive to provide a balanced view when I’m reviewing hotels but I am seriously struggling to call out any imperfections short of my dislike of the shower head and that is just me being petty. The rooms were spotless, the location was perfect and the hospitality was exceptional. Clearly I am not the only one who thinks so because they are rated #1 on TripAdvisor. When you are choosing where to stay in Boracay make sure you consider booking at Coast. If your stay is half as good as our you will not be disappointed.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on my Coast Boracay review in the comments below.

I think I am reading this post slightly late -I was looking for a budget beachfront hotel in Boracay when I was planning my trip and did not come across Coast Boracay as an option unfortunately, so I ended up booking another one instead. I wish I had read about Coast Boracay earlier as it looks like a great option, right on the beach and that too, on station 2, which I believe is the most happening of all! I will, however, drop by for a great meal on the beach in their restaurant while I am there, thanks for the recommendation!
neha says
As you said the Coast Boracay hotel does have an edge over the rest in ways more than one. For one, the hospitality seems so warm, which is always a must for me. And then, the room looks so inviting and comfortable. With plenty of natural lights as well as an AC to be able to control the temperature and humidity in an otherwise warm and humid climate will be really a welcome. The surrounding beach is lovely as well.
Nuraini says
Wow. That’s some review. I stayed at the Sea Wind last year, and was quite happy with it, but this description blows competition out of the water!
And it really is a beautiful beach. We had poor weather for the first couple days, but the third was good and the second most incredible sunset I’ve ever seen was there.
Allison Smith says
We absolutely loved Coast. The Hubs says it is the best hotel he has ever stayed in and we have stayed in hundreds so that is high praise indeed. We always knew we would be diving with the weather going in October but we took a chance. We got one incredible sunset as well so that was a beautiful bonus.
Alice says
Wow this looks beautiful! I’ve never realized what a perfect travel destination the Philippines is! I have some friends that have recommended me to go, and now I see why!
Allison Smith says
It was my first time in the Philippines Alice and I really enjoyed it! I canβt wait to go back and see more. Make sure Boracay is in your list!
Gina says
The pool and beach areas are absolutely stunning and the service you highlighted seems unparalleled. I loved the shirts of the staff and I laughed at the one labeled, “Like men in black but in white.” I really want to try those underwater masks and be able to see all the fishes!
Allison Smith says
White Beach is Boracay has to be seen to be believed Gina and Coast is in the perfect position to take advantage. The shirts were awesome. I loved the fun vibe in everything that Coast does.
Peter Korchnak says
I never heard of Boracay so the name didn’t evoke anything. Until now! Looks like a wonderful place to spend some time and relax. It’s true that little things matter. A rose, though, that’s above and beyond.
Allison Smith says
It sure was wonderful Peter. One of my favourite places in the Philippines. Can’t wait to go back π
dennisallacross says
Weβve also encountered unparalleled friendliness in the Philippines! Netflix is an absolute plus, should become standard very soon and I wonder why not more hotels have already jumped on that trainβ¦
The Welcome Basket sounds (and looks) amazing! What a service! One question left is about the noise level: did you hear anything from the parties going on at White Beach during nighttime?
Allison Smith says
The Filipino hospitality is next level isn’t it? I have never felt more like a valued guest in my life! This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in that has Netflix so it was a very welcome surprise. The noise level was never an issue for us. If people were partying hard we never heard them π
Megan Jerrard says
I loved my time in Boracay and would definitely go back. Coast looks beautiful β very modern, and it sounds like the service and hospitality are on point. I love the staff uniform with sayings on the back!
Awesome that they have Netflix lol though I would guess the beaches are so stunning that you wouldnβt have had time to utilize this haha. So glad you had the chance to try helmet diving β how epic is it! One of the highlights of my time in Boracay. I will definitely stay at the Coast when I have the chance to go back π
Allison Smith says
Hope you make it to Coast soon Megan. I would love to return to Boracay one day π
Michelle says
Boracay is getting built up so fast it’s crazy. I first went there in 2012 and when I went back in 2015, so many new developments had sprung up! The beach is still one of the prettiest beaches I’ve ever seen, though the scuba diving is decidedly average.
Allison Smith says
Being my first visit I have nothing to compare it to but I imagine it has changed in the past few years. The beach is stunning! One of the whitest I have ever seen. I do have my open water scuba ticket but we didn’t dive on this visit so good to know we didn’t miss out.
Rahul Khurana says
this is so beautiful. Loved the rooms, pool and the area to sit near the beach. You are right in saying that small additions and offerings can really make someone’s stay more memorable. That’s what hospitality is about. I would love to ride a yacht like that someday.
Allison Smith says
The small things are everything for me Rahul. Coast went above and beyond and we were very happy during our stay. I would love to return one day π
Malith Fernando says
Greetings from Sri Lanka, I would say “Boracay” is one of the best places in the world to travel. Your blog post has been very comprehensive and your photography adds a real color to it. Would love visiting this place one day. I know sooner the better. π
Allison Smith says
The sooner the better indeed Malith! Hope you make it to Boracay soon π
Ami says
This place always rings Scuba to me. Nice to see the other activities offered here. Helmet diving or sea walk is fun indeed. And those beaches, you are right – one must be mad to not try out activities here. I like the rooms also, that you have shown. Quite comfortable and luxurious. I hope to make it here soon!
Allison Smith says
I am an open water diver Ami but we didn’t scuba this time around but there are certainly options for those that want to. Helmet diving was such an unusual activity and very different from diving. I hope you can make it to Boracay soon and test it out for yourself!
Anneklien Meanne says
Been to Boracay couple of years back, and this place Looks a great place to stay and enjoy its paradisal atmosphere.
Allison Smith says
It was brilliant Anneklien. Loved every minute!
David says
Wow, the pool area looks fantastic! Really nice hotel and I’ll have to research Coast Boracay.
Allison Smith says
The pool was great David. Hope you get to stay in Coast soon π
Dario says
I have never been in a tropical country but wow this just looks amazing! Your photos are making me feel the vibs already of the place. Would love to visit one day Coast Boracay <3
Allison Smith says
Coast sure was amazing Dario. Hope you get to visit one day π
Chrisy says
Boracay looks stunning. Although is the 3 days you spent there enough to do everything you wanted to do? The pool that’s at Coast looks amazing, and fairly empty too which is good. Nothing beats having a pool all to yourself! It’s another place I’ll have to add to my list of places to visit, simply by the way you sold it.
Allison Smith says
Three days was just enough Chrisy but we could have easily spent much longer! Hope you tick it off your list soon π
Samantha Sparrow says
This looks like SUCH an exquisite hotel! I love a hotel that opens out on to the beach, and it feels luxurious without being all over the top. I’d love to stay here, maybe one day I will if I got to the Philipines!
Allison Smith says
Beachfront is just the best ins’t it! Coast had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. Absolutely perfect stay!
Rhonda Albom says
I love the light, airy feel of your resort. And wow, how incredible that you got to try helmet diving. How long did you have underwater? Is it an hour or so like regular diving? Or a lot less? It looks like you’re just wearing a helmet on your heads – is there any other source of oxygen?
Allison Smith says
The feel of Coast was awesome. Everything they did, they did well. Helmet diving was such a strange experiencing. The helmet just rests on your shoulders and oxygen is pumped in from a scuba tank. Definitely worth trying if you get a chance!
James says
The welcome message they left you with your logo just shows how much attention to detail Coast has. The room looks fantastic, I would really enjoy relaxing in the room after a long day relaxing by the pool! The cocktail you photographed looks very refreshing!
Allison Smith says
I know right! I have to admit it made me smile. A lot! The room was sensational and I had plenty of cocktails from Cha Cha’s π
Carmen Baguio says
The hubby is Filipino. We’re hoping to visit relative summer 2019. We’re beach lovers so Boracay is definitely on the itinerary. This resort looks fabulous with all of your needs taken care of. Pinning this for later!
Allison Smith says
How cool Carmen! Hope you love Coast as much as I did!
Christina says
Getting free wifi on a plane is incredible. I think in a few more years that will be common but it is definitely not in America. I like the idea behind the key powering everything in the room. Like you said, the little things mean so much. Something as simple as moving a wet floor sign for a photo. I’m glad you were able to have a great time despite the weather. Being able to watch Netflix for free in your room is also nice!
Allison Smith says
Netflix was an unexpected bonus! It just shows that Coast has the customer at the heart of everything they do. We loved our visit and hope to return one day π
Silke says
Ahhhh…. take me to paradise, now! Your stay at Coast sounds wonderful, just what you need when you are on vacation. I never heard of helmet diving before, it looks so much fun! I’d love to try this out myself one day. I am sure the waters off Boracay are so warm, you could stay there forever. Thanks for sharing your experiences, it really seems a lovely place to stay.
Allison Smith says
It sure was wonderful Silke! The water was the perfect temperature. I hate cold water but stayed in White Beach for at least an hour and didn’t feel a chill.
Anushka says
I am in love with your hotel, it’s such a beautiful place to go and relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset. I would surely love to stay there
Allison Smith says
We were too Anushka! We didn’t want to leave. The sunset was spectacular!
Punita Malhotra says
This is THE perfect beach destination which is tempting me of late. The water is so pristine and such a lovely fresh color! The choice of the hotel is great too. Now all I’m wondering about is the expense π
Allison Smith says
The water is so clear Punita. The photos simply don’t do it justice. And this was during stormy overcast weather. Coast was the perfect hotel for us!
Kate Storm says
That pool looks amazing! Not *quite* as amazing as the beach on the property, of course, but still amazing. Looks like a perfect resort for relaxing and enjoying some R&R!
Allison Smith says
The beach was one of the best I have every seen and I have seen lots lol. Coast was indeed perfect for relaxing and I would love to go back Kate!
Indrani says
Such a luxurious place. I love the range of activities they provide. It makes the hotel a travel destination by itself. That way even if the weather is bad the hotel turns out to be the most interesting place. π
Loved reading the description of the bathroom and the toiletries they provided… one of my favs to look out for in a hotel. π π
Allison Smith says
Well we couldn’t do much about the weather Indrani but we had a brilliant stay anyway. I know I will be back at Coast in future!
Rashmi and Chalukya says
The resort looks perfect for some laid-back experience and relaxed holiday. When we book resorts for holiday we look for activities they offer apart from the normal resort amenities and activities like sailing, cliff diving, and zip lining would be fun during our stay there. Looks like you had a great time with flawless service. Thanks for the wonderful review.
Allison Smith says
Coast truly was flawless Rashmi. The Hubs says it is the best hotel he has ever stayed at in his life which is high praise indeed. We can’t wait to go back!
Raghav says
WOOOOW!. Love the vibe, the photos are spectacular, and the place looks just amazing. So glad to see Philippines comes up again as the perfect vacation spot that it always was. The Coast is super luxurious, love the coziness of the pool, and the staff with the T-shirts is something interesting. Such a detailed and informative post, thank you for that.
Allison Smith says
The vibe at coast was awesome Raghav. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect hotel for us. We will be back one day π
FS Page says
Coast Boracay does seem like the perfect place to stay here. I love the face that they take care of everything the moment you step into the airport. It becomes so much easier. The decor & setup too is wonderful. I love the tiny details they take care of and your detailed account of small events and anecdotes brings the blog to life.
Allison Smith says
Sure does FS! Being met at the airport was just one of the ways Coast made us feel very special!
Lisa says
I was in Boracay a few years ago, so unfortunately Coast wasn’t yet there. It’s definitely my kind of hotel; I love the look of the bedroom and the beachfront design. All those small treats were never-ending, but I’m sure it made you feel so special. I had a such a great time in Boracay and would definitely go back.
Allison Smith says
The treats were the best Lisa! We began to look forward to see what we were getting each night like kids at Christmas lol. It really did make us feel like very special guests π
Yukti says
I have never been to Boracay but reading your post tempts me to pack my bags. This resort is having all modern facilities with a perfect blend of nature. Helmet diving, watching sunset and having exotic food in this resort must be my choice.
Allison Smith says
Pack those bags Yukti! Boracay is stunning! One of my favourite places in the Philippines.
Vanessa Ball says
Iβve been to Boracay a few years ago, loved it. I was backpacking so my accommodation was nowher near as nice as Coast Boracay. Love the helmet diving, how much fun! The food looks awesome at Cha Chaβs. Itβs true that the little touches from the hotel really make a difference. Shame about the weather but you can’t have it all! Great article!
Allison Smith says
I left my backpacking days back in my 20’s and have no desire to return lol. You’ll have to go back and try Coast Vanessa! The little things really do make a big difference.
Erin says
Wow sold! I would definitely take your recommendation and stay at Coast Boracay! It all looks incredible but especially the beach of course π I love the cute touches though like the staff uniforms and the little welcome package of exotic fruit!
Allison Smith says
The uniforms were so fun. Glad I have sold you Erin and hope you enjoy Coast as much as we did π
Marvi says
Ohh.. Too bad about the weather.. We have been experiencing a lot of gloomy days lately here in the Philippines (it’s the -Ber months after all! π ) , but still glad that you were very comfortable at Coast Boracay! I love the popcorn at the pool and the welcome basket and the red rose you received. Such a warm welcome reminiscent of Filipino hospitality at its best! π
Allison Smith says
Yes I was told about the βberβ months Marvi but we went anyway so I have no one to blame but myself lol. Coast made us very comfortable despite the storms and we would love to return when the sun is shining!
Nicole - Miss Sparkle says
